There’s something special about this time of year at a small school like Norwood. The first round of progress reports is complete, giving our students a chance to see how far they’ve come and where they can keep growing as we move further into the school year.
We’re also saying goodbye to softball season. We are proud of our Lady Hornets for the hard work, teamwork, and school spirit they showed throughout the season. In a small school, our students aren’t just names on a roster, they’re classmates, friends, neighbors, and kids our community gets to watch grow both on and off the field.
And just as one season ends, another is getting ready to begin! Academic Bowl and basketball are right around the corner, bringing new opportunities for our Hornets to compete, learn, and represent Norwood.
That’s one of the things we love most about our little school. The same students you see working hard in the classroom may be answering Academic Bowl questions one day and putting on a Norwood jersey the next. Teachers become coaches, classmates become teammates, and families fill the stands to cheer them on.
Seasons change quickly around here, but one thing stays the same, the pride we have in our students and the community that supports them.
